How Exercise is Beneficial?

Living in a busy world is hard to take out some time to exercise so here are some easy ways to make you feel fresh and relaxing. The suggestions that will be given are the things that we do in our daily life or the activities we do for fun. Regular exercise can help with making your life easier such as:

  • It can make you feel joyful
  • It keeps your body at a healthy weight
  • It increases your energy level
  • It makes you feel more active
  • It lowers the life risk of chronic disease such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure,etc
  • It's good for your muscles and bones
How to balance an exercise routine?

There are three parts of a balanced exercise routine which are aerobic exercise, strength training, and flexibility training.

Aerobic exercise is any type of exercise that gets the heart pumping and gets you breathing harder.If you are interested in team sports you may want to try these activities like basketball, soccer, lacrosse, hockey, and rowing that gives you a great aerobic workout. However, if you are not interested in team sports then you can try things like biking, running, swimming, dancing, in-line skating, tennis, cross-country skiing, hiking, or walking quickly.

Strength training is when you build your muscles. However, lift weight is not the only way to make your muscles and bones stronger. There are different types of exercise strengthen different muscle groups. For instance, for building arm muscles you can try rowing, cross-country skiing, pull-ups and push-ups, those that you have done in your gym class. If you want to build strong legs then you might want to try by running, biking, rowing, or skating. Squats and leg raises are also works for the legs. Lastly, for core strength you may want to try quick core workout, standing ab workout, total core workout, yoga or pilates. If you want to do individual core exercises then you can also try side plank, back bridge, lunge with twist, v-sits or hip lift.

Flexibility training is when your body stays flexible meaning your muscles and joints stretch are bend easily. Some activities, like dance or martial arts, require great flexibility. But if you are more flexible than that it can help you with performing some other sports, like soccer or lacrosse. Moreover, sports and activities such as martial arts like karate, ballet, gymnastics, and yoga are good choices for being flexible. In fact, stretching after your workout will also help you improve your flexibility.
